Tesla Model Y Now Available to Lease

We are a day late on this one folks, so sorry! In case you hadn't heard, yesterday, the option to lease a Tesla Model Y appeared on tesla.com. If you choose a Model Y Long Range with no additional options, you are looking at a monthly lease payment of $499, with $4,500 down. That will put you behind the wheel for 36 months, and you can drive 10,000 miles/year. If you opt for a red Model Y Performance with every additional option available, you are looking at $848 /mo, with the same down payment and yearly miles allowance. Compared to the Audi E-Tron lease deal we showed you the other day, the Model Y is $77 cheaper per month, but requires an additional $527 down payment. If you divide the $527/36 months, it works out to $14.64 per month, making the Model Y $62.36/month cheaper. At the end of three years you will spend $2,244.96 less if you go with the Model Y Long Range. The Audi is rated at 204 miles of range by the EPA, the Y is rated for 316 miles. If you plan to tow, the Tesla can pull up to 3,500 pounds, where as the Audi can tow an extra 500 lbs. If being able to lease a Tesla Model Y was all that was holding you back previously, enjoy your new car!
