Audi e-tron Lease Deal

The Audi website lists the cheapest lease deal we’ve ever seen for a 2019 e-tron. Its a three-year lease, with 10,000 miles per year, or 30,000 miles total. They are asking for $3,973 at signing, which gets you a monthly payment of $576. For comparison, a Tesla Model X 5-seater works out to $1,019/month with $7,500 down for the same 30,000 miles over 3 years. Audi’s e-tron deal is 44% cheaper than the Tesla’s, with 47% less down payment. However, the Tesla Model X has an EPA rated range of 351 miles per charge, compared to the Audi’s 204 miles of range, or another 42% less. Both charge blazingly fast, up to 250kW for the Tesla, and up to 270 kW for the Audi. Both have a sticker price of around $79,000 USD. I would guess that the Model X will have a higher resale value than the Audi, and it can tow another grand on top of the e-tron’s towing capacity of 4,000 pounds. Having had short test-drives in both, I can say that either will be a great daily driver. Just for grins, I have reached out to my local dealer to see if they have an e-tron with the towing package.
