Tesla Model Y Long Range Test Drive
Today I got to spend about half an hour behind the wheel of a Tesla Model Y Long Range. It was excellent, the only negative was that I couldn’t spend longer with the vehicle. In my limited time, I did manage to find some fairly empty corners to toss the Y through. I can say with certainty that it handles more like a sports car than an SUV, this wasn’t even the performance model! In addition to cornering skills, its quick as well. Tesla lists the 0-60 MPH time as 4.8 seconds, and while I didn’t attempt to verify that on my test drive, I have absolutely no reason to doubt it. Quick, fun to drive, and really efficient? Absolutely! After this weeks range increase, the Model Y is good for 326 miles of range on the EPA test. Tesla’s smaller crossover can tow up to 3500 pounds, and should have an optional third row in the spring. Once the 7 seat option becomes available, I may run out of excuses to not own one of these. If you get the chance, you really need to take one for a test drive!
