Tesla Cybertruck Camping

The gang over at ElectricFuture have put together a video resume of sorts for the Bruder EXP4 Off-Road Camper, highlighting all the ways that it makes a perfect companion for the Tesla Cybertruck. I have a 23.5 foot bunkhouse camper that I am relegated to towing with a pickup at the moment, so this is a topic near and dear to my heart. I cannot wait for an affordable all-electric tow vehicle to hit the market. Right now, the only full EV that is capable of pulling my camper is the Audi e-tron. Don’t get me wrong, that is a very nice vehicle. But, it is very expensive, and has less range when pulling than I think I am looking for at the moment. When the Norwegian EV Association tested a Tesla Model X’s towing ability, they found it was more efficient with a trailer attached than the Audi, or a Mercedes-Benz EQC. I imagine the same will be true of the Cybertruck with a trailer attached as well. Tesla has released two renders of the Cybertruck decked out for travel. One with a pop-up arrangement in the truck’s bed, and another with a very large camper behind. In addition, some creative soul has imagined a fifth-wheel type camper with styling to match the Cybertruck. So which would you rather take camping, the Tesla Cybertruck, or the Rivian R1T?
