Change of Direction, Change of Address

Dear Reader,

     MyFamliyCar has been very quiet the last few months, and for that we'd like to apologize. As you can probably tell by the last several posts, we have embraced the electric vehicle as the future of transportation. We fully acknowledge that right now, EVs are not for everyone, however, they are improving with each generation, and becoming a suitable replacement for the traditional internal combustion engine. In our case, we are on our second Chevrolet Volt, running on electricity 80% or more, but having the security of a gas engine for those long trips that exceed charger availability along the way. 

     With this change in philosophy, we felt it was time for a new name and  a general freshening.  So, what was MyFamliyCar, will go forward as the Electric Mitten. You'll find us at www.electricmitten.com. We chose to include the word mitten as a way to embrace not only what its like to live with an EV in Michigan, but to also highlight some of the great things our wonderful state has to offer. In addition, expect the occasional product or book review as well. So in summary, look for a lot about EVs, and Michigan, and a little bit of tech, toys, and whatever tickles our fancy.
