Dodge Journey Crew AWD - Quick Spin
We spent a little quality time with a loaded 2013 Dodge Journey Crew AWD, and thoroughly enjoyed our experiences behind the wheel. First off, the Journey has always been attractive externally for a mid-size people hauler, but thanks to the refreshed interior we can now say that it is beautiful on the inside too. The only option missing on our pearl-white tester was the rear seat entertainment package. Our tester featured white leather seats with contrasting orange stitching, a gorgeous combination that I doubt I would choose to bring home. The middle-row was surprisingly roomy, and the third row appeared to be more than adequate, however, there are only LATCH anchors in that second row.
The driving position is comfortable as are the seats, and while hardly a sports car, it does carry itself well around a corner. With the 3.6 liter V-6, there is plenty of power as well, allowing for towing of up to 2500 lbs when properly equipped. Unfortunately, we only had time for a brief drive, but came away impressed enough to want to spend some more time behind the wheel, which is more than can be said for several vehicles. If the Journey fits your needs, it is definitely worth taking a look.
