Sep 13 North American International Auto Show 2023

Greetings from the show floor of the 2023 edition of the North American International Auto Show! Watch this space throughout the day, as we will be adding photos as the day goes on.

There is lots to see and do at this year’s show! On the Powering Michigan indoor test track, I got to ride in a VW ID.4; a Tesla Model X Long Range; a Chevrolet Bolt EUV; a Cadillac Lyriq; a GMC Hummer EV Truck; a Ford Mustang Mach E Select; and a BMW i4 M50. Most manufacturers had 2 or 3 models to choose from. Speaking of test rides, Jeep of course brought their signature indoor off-road track, where you can ride in one of several 4XE Wranglers and Grand Cherokees they have on hand.

I had been hoping to see the just announced Cadillac Escalade IQ, but alas, the only EVs on the Cadillac stand are a pair if Lyriq’s. One EV that is on display that I didn’t expect to see is the Rolls-Royce Spectre, and it is fabulous up close.
