Michigan International Auto Show 2023
If you are in Grand Rapids this weekend, you should head downtown to DeVos Place (303 Monroe St NE) to check out this year’s edition of the Michigan International Auto Show. They have a new feature this year called “Electric Avenue”. You can check out an Audi Q4 E-Tron; Ford Mustang Mach E; Ford F-150 Lightning; Volkswagen ID.4; Nissan Leaf; Jeep Wrangler 4XE Plug-In Hybrid, Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV; and a Meijer Freightliner eCascadia semi. Three vehicles from the Gilmore Car Museum are also featured in this area including a 1903 Columbia Electric, 1980 Comuta-Car and 1999 Ford Ranger EV.
There are many more EVs spread through out the show floor, including a Cadillac Lyriq; Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum; a Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance; Mini Cooper S E; Subaru Solterra; a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and another Wranlger 4XE; and 4 electrified BMW’s: i7, i4 40e, ix 50e and a plug-in hybrid 330XE. I am huge fan of this show because it is such a great opportunity to cross-shop models from many different manufacturers, without any sales pressure.
