Volkswagen Reveals ID.4 with 100+ Photos
Yesterday, Volkswagen unveiled the production ID.4 crossover. It’s first new generation all electric vehicle to come to the US, as we miss out on the ID.3 hatchback. I have to say I am smitten with the ID.4 It looks very nice, and it is both priced well and has good specs. Starting with looks, I know they are subjective, so I am including a ton of pictures so that you can check it out from every angle. Pricing will start at $39,995 for a rear-wheel drive model that has a range of 250 miles per charge. All ID.4s will also come with three years free charging on the Electrify America network, where they can charge at upto 125kW (which is very quick). In 2022 VW plans to begin building the ID.4 in Chattanooga, TN. Once that happens, they will offer a version of the ID.4 that will start around $35,000. The rear-wheel drive model will be delivered at the beginning of 2021, with an all-wheel drive version arriving in the spring. I think VW may have a hit on their hands. It is priced very favorably against the Tesla Model 3 sedan, but in that SUV form factor that everyone seems to love. In playing around on the VW ID.4 configurator, I learned two things. If you tick every option box, you can build a $49,000 ID.4, and less than 36 hours after the reveal, the limited edition ID.4 First edition is sold out. Check it out for your self below. Enjoy!
