Bugatti Baby II - Affordable (ish) Electric Sports Car!
You may have already heard of the Bugatti Baby 2, as it was announced at last year’s Geneva International Motor Show. But in case you have not, it is Bugatti’s 110th birthday present to itself, and modeled after a toy runabout Ettore Bugatti made for his 4 year old son Roland in 1926. Both the Baby and Baby II are modeled after the very successful Bugatti Type 35 racing car. Though the base model cost as much as my Chevrolet Bolt, and the top of the range Pur Sang version costs almost as much as a loaded Tesla Model Y Performance, I can’t help but love that such a thing exists. I could easily spend hours watching a group of these racing on track. Perhaps Formula E should invite them out to entertain the crowds on race weekends? Check it out in the videos and galleries below, and if you have time to kill, click on the link to configure your own. Enjoy!
“At the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show, Bugatti announced its 110th birthday present to itself, the reimagining of the original Bugatti Baby. The brand is delighted to announce the completion of the design and testing phase, the car has gone into series production and clients will be soon be taking delivery of the very first cars. Developed in partnership with The Little Car Company, the Baby II has been described by those who have had the opportunity to drive it as ‘more of an unruly teenager than a Baby’.”
