Fiat Unveils New 500 3+1 EV

Behold the new Fiat 500e 3+1. Hatchbacks are often counted as a door, technically making the regular 500e a 3-door already. Adding the additional rear-opening door on the passenger side makes this a +1 I guess. Whatever they want to call it, I think it is quite striking, and now a fair bit more practical. As far as I know, Fiat has not committed to bring the new 500e to the United States for sure, which is a shame. I genuinely think if they were able to offer this car for $30,000 USD before incentives with a 200 mile EPA range and 100kW fast charging they might have a real hit on their hands. If they could manage all of that, and include a heat pump as well, I’m sure they would. For now, all we can do is hope.
