VW I.D. R - Tianmen Mountain

In their quest to prove the performance credentials of EVs, VW has taken another track record. They now hold the record for the fastest time up the Tianmen Mountain, also known as the “Heaven’s Gate Road”. Romain Dumas maneuvered the 99 corners of the 6.77 mile course in a record-breaking 7 minutes 38.585 seconds. This actually happened a few days ago, but we’ve been waiting for video of the record run to be released. Instead, we will have to post the footage at a later date, once it becomes available.
