The National Museum of Transportation - St. Louis, MO
While looking through some old photos, and pining for a good road trip, I stumbled across some that I thought I had already shared with you. It looks like I started to write a post back in 2019 when these were taken, but never finished it. So I thought I would show them to you now. The National Museum of Transportation has 2 classic EV’s in its collection. One is a model that we have discussed before, the Comuta-Car, and the second is a Bradley GTE, a VW based kit-car. Both utilize fiberglass bodies, and 1970s battery technology, which is to say that they are very cool historically, but nothing you would want to drive very far.
If you’d like to check them out for yourself, the museum’s address is: 2933 Barrett Station Road Saint Louis, Missouri 63122 and it is located right off of Route 66. The museum has one of the largest collections of trains that I have ever seen, and is definitely worth visiting if you should have the chance.
