Jun 2 Tesla Pickup Truck to be nicely equipped for $49K!

Elon Musk has been teasing details of the upcoming Tesla Pickup for quite some time now. This weekend he gave an interview to the Tesla-centric podcast “Ride the Lighting”. In his interview he cemented a few previous tease mentions, including divisive cyberpunk styling, and insane capabilities. Per Mr. Musk, the upcoming all-electric truck is expected to be more capable than a Ford F-150, out perform a Porsche 911, and make a Ram 1500 look puny. And now we add to this list a target starting price well below $50,000 USD. Elon, gets even more specific, stating “You should be able to buy a really great truck for $49k or less.” If that really is the case, may I just say, “Shut up and take my money!!!”. But seriously, $50,000 seems to be the price of admission for a solidly equipped half-ton truck these days, so if Tesla can hit that price point, while humbling the gas-powered competition he should have a hit on his hands!
