Volkswagen ID.3 - 10,000 reservations in the first 24 hours

Volkswagen has revealed a batch of new (still-camouflaged) images of the first production member of the I.D. family. They have also begun taking reservations in Europe. The VW ID.3 has racked up 10,000 reservations in it’s first 24 hours. While it is not slated to be sold in the US, other members of the ID family are heading this way in 2020 and 2021. The ID.3 will eventually be offered with 3 battery pack sizes offer from 205-340 miles on the generous WLTP scale. For comparison, the Hyundai Kona EV is rated for 292 miles on the WLTP, but only 258 miles by the EPA. As the ID.3 is never likely to grace our shores, it’s all academic anyway.
