Porsche Taycan 4S Announced.

Let’s call this the less-expensive Taycan, rather than calling it more affordable… Today Porsche announced the Taycan 4S, starting at $103,800, as apposed to the Turbo (671hp) which starts at $150,900 or the Turbo S (750hp) starting price of $185,000. The Taycan 4S will be available in two configurations. The first is the standard Taycan 4S with Performance Battery. It has a 79.2 kWh battery pack and 522 peak hp in overboost, and offers 252 miles of range on the generous WLTP scale. You can opt for the Performance Battery Plus model, which starts at $110,380, and comes with a 93.4 kWh battery just like in the Taycan Turbo and Turbo S models. The Porsche Taycan 4S Performance Battery Plus (Taycan 4S+?) offers 563 peak hp in overboost, and a WLTP driving range of 287 miles. This sounds like the one to have to us, but on paper, a dual motor Tesla Model 3 beats it in both range and price. Both models of the Taycan 4S will do 0-60mph in 4.0 seconds, and are limited to a top speed of 155 mph. The more the merrier to the EV party, and I’m sure Porsche will sell plenty of them to people solely because they are Porsches.
