We spent a rainy Thursday in Gatlinburg, TN, where we toured the pricey, but excellent Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies. My favorite part was the shark exhibit. The have a moving walk way that carries you through a glass tunnel under the shark tank, it's amazing to see them right over your head! Thanks to the weather, we did our best to find things to do indoors. After lunch, our next stop was Cooter's, for our resident Dukes of Hazzard fan. If you were a fan of the show, it has a worthwhile, and free collection of memorabilia, but the indoor go-karts looked a little on the lame side. If you're into go-karts, drive the three miles to Pigeon Forge, TN, they have some of the wildest tracks, I've ever laid eyes on. There is lots of shopping to be done in both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, if you are so inclined. There are things to do on every corner of both towns, so plan accordingly, for both time and money.
