Lotus Eletre - Spotted in Detroit!
Months ago, I stumbled on a parking lot with roughly a dozen Lotus Eletre SUVs. Not sure why they were there, but I was delighted to check them out up close. Pictures really don’t do the Eletre justice. In person, it is quite handsome for a crossover. In case you aren’t familiar with this upcoming SUV, the Lotus Eletre is an all-electric luxury SUV that marks a bold entry into the electric vehicle market for Lotus, traditionally known for its lightweight sports cars. It is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, producing up to 905 horsepower in its highest-performance variant, the Eletre R. The SUV features a 112 kWh battery pack that offers a range of approximately 373 miles (600 km) on a full charge, depending on the model. It supports 800V fast charging technology, allowing for a 10-80% charge in about 20 minutes with a compatible charger. The Eletre's top speed reaches 165 mph (265 km/h), with a 0-60 mph acceleration time of under 3 seconds. It boasts advanced aerodynamics, a sleek design, and cutting-edge tech, including a 15.1-inch OLED touchscreen, a suite of autonomous driving features, and a luxurious, spacious cabin with premium materials and finishes.
