Apr 23 Tesla Model 3 Performance Revealed!

Today, Tesla added the updated Performance trim to the Model 3 lineup. It features new high-performance drive units delivering more than 500 horsepower combined, and reducing the 0-60 mph time to 2.9 seconds. Pricing begins at $52,990 USD, and the Performance appears to the be only updated Model 3 that qualifies for the $7500 tax credit! The Performance model rocks exclusive front and rear fascias, a rear diffuser and carbon fiber spoiler that work together to optimize high-speed stability. Tesla gave it a new adaptive suspension powered by in-house software for enhanced body control, without sacrificing daily usability or comfort.

The fastest Model 3 has also been given Track Mode V3, featuring an all-new calibration for the powertrain and adaptive suspension, with the option to customize handling balance, stability controls and regenerative braking to set the car up how you like it. Performance model specific sport seats feature an all-new seat design with enhanced side and cushion bolsters, and adds ventilation to keep you cool. Bespoke chassis and suspension hardware is tuned to provide intuitive, razor-sharp response to driver inputs. Lightweight, staggered wheels provide sharper turn-in response, improved predictability, increased traction out of corners and optimized aerodynamics. The upgraded 3 also features upgraded high-performance brakes, which Tesla say offer enhanced pedal feel and improved heat management to ensure consistent braking at all speeds and across a wider temperature range.
