Jul 24 Saturday Surge - July 24, 2021

Each week, we run across many stories that we’d love to share, but often run out of time to do so. To make sure that you don’t miss out, we round up some of them here for your viewing/reading/listening pleasure on Saturdays.

Surging this week: It’s London E-Prix weekend, so let’s start by watching Alex Lynn’s pole position lap. The Paris Auto Show will return next fall. Mercedes prepares for an EV only future. If you have the means, soon you can pretend to be Ken Miles in an all-electric Ford GT40 replica. The GMC Hummer EV will be joined by a less expensive electric pickup, most likely related to the upcoming all-electric Chevrolet Silverado. And finally, the Tesla Semi appears to be nearing production. Given that the reveal event took place a few years ago, I have included it below. Enjoy!
