Top Gear Flogs the Lotus Evija at Hethel!

I am not often prone to jealousy, but today I am positively green with it! Jack Rix of Top Gear got to spend some quality track time with a pre-production prototype of the upcoming Lotus Evija hypercar. The occasion was prompted by the Evija’s recent win of Top Gear’s One to Watch Award for their 2021 Electric Car Awards which we covered here. Jack comes away very impressed with how the car feels and drives, and even gets to drive it pretty aggressively. It looks incredible, and like lots of fun. One fun piece of information that I gathered from the video was just how light this car will be, especially in comparison to its competitive set. Also, it will be massively powerful, the test car Jack is driving is only putting out about 75% power, which is still over 1200 hp!
