ABB FIA Formula E - Race At Home Challenge: Pre-Season Race
The ABB FIA Formula E Championship has partnered with UNICEF to help raise funds for that noble organization. In lieu of actual racing, for the next 8 Saturdays, there will be two virtual races each week. It’s free to watch. The first race is made up of esports competitors, the second race is comprised of Formula E drivers. They start with a field of 18 drivers, and eliminate one each lap until they are down to the top 10. Each race is approximately 15 minutes preceded by a qualifying session. Yesterday was the pre-season practice race, which they were brave enough to stream live, for our viewing enjoyment. While not quite as exciting as the real deal, it was a lot of fun to watch. If, like us, you are missing racing, this may help quench your thirst. Enjoy!
The ABB Formula E Race At Home Challenge In Support Of UNICEF kicks off on Saturday 18th April at 15:30 BST, with professional racing drivers taking to rFactor2 to go head to head, while some of the world's fastest sim racers compete against each other for a truly incredible prize... Saturday 18 April's race will serve as a practice for the drivers, ahead of eight weeks of points-scoring races commencing from Saturday 25 April. Join us for all the action, and if you're able to afford to, please consider a donation to UNICEF.
