Tesla Model 3 Refresh and Range Increases Across All Models!
What a huge week for Tesla, and Tesla fans alike! Not only has the Tesla Model S benefitted from two price reductions this week, but Tesla wrapped up the week by increasing the ranges of all four model lines, and revealing the refreshed Model 3. Lets start with the Model 3, now benefitting from the heat pump out of the Model Y, an updated interior, chrome delete on the exterior, new wheels, and increased range for all three trim levels. All of this goodness is offered without an increase in price. The Standard Range Plus Model 3 now travels 263 miles on a charge, but the real headline grabber of the 3 line is the Dual-Motor All-Wheel Drive, which can now cover 353 miles between charges, for under $48,000. Let us not forget the Model 3 Performance, which gained 16 miles additional range, putting it at 315 miles. Both versions of the Model Y, and Model X also received range increases as well. Finally, the Tesla Model S Performance can travel 334 miles per the EPA scale, not quite as much as the 402 miles that the Tesla Model S Long Range plus received a few months ago, but still impressive. With these updates, Tesla now only sells 1 vehicle with an EPA range under 300 miles. In a time when most manufacturers are failing to hit 250 miles (only the Chevrolet Bolt and Hyundai Kona Electric and Lucid Air manage to exceed it) on the EPA test, the shortest range vehicle from the house of Elon is 13 miles north of that milestone. There has never been a better time to go electric!
