Today, Volkswagen set a new world record for an electric vehicle at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Their time was: 7:57. Which makes the I.D. R Pikes Peak not only the fastest EV up the mountain, but the fastest car ever, and the first to complete the 12+ mile course in under 8 minutes!
