General Motors to adopt NACS (Tesla) Charging Port from 2025!
In a Twitter Spaces event with General Motors CEO Mary Barra and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, it was announced that GM vehicles will switch to the North American Charging Standard (NACS) style plug that Tesla uses in 2025. This comes hot on the heels of Ford’s announcement that they will be switching to NACS in 2025 as well. Starting in 2024, both GM and Ford owners will be able to begin utilizing the robust Tesla Supercharging network via an adapter from CCS to NACS. This is exciting news, and means that all three US based car manufacturers will be on the NACS standard. You can listen to the broadcast below.
