What the Dyson EV Would've Looked Like

After cancelling the project last October, we thought we’d heard the last of the Dyson electric car. Turns out we weren’t completely correct. While the project hasn’t been brought back to life, we do finally get to see (some of) what it would’ve looked like. It’s pretty sharp looking. The intent was for a vehicle that would be able to transport up to 7 people on journey’s up to 600 miles on a single charge, thanks to it’s solid state battery of undisclosed size. Per James Dyson’s interview with the Sunday Times, because of it’s projected cost to consumers. They estimated that each car would have to sell for the equivalent of $183,000 USD. That is a lot of dough, and more than I can spend on a car. By the same token, Dyson sell a hair dryer that retails for $400 USD, a fan/heater combo that can cost up to $750 USD, and some vacuums that can reach above that price. Would people have bought the Dyson car? They are probably the most qualified to answer that, and they obviously didn’t think so. Still, from the little that we can see, it is an attractive proposition. Perhaps they will release a full set of photos of the prototype in the future. Enjoy!
